GWA – Website Builder

Frequently asked

Answers before you start.

Everything people usually ask before building their first site — the trial, the templates, domains, languages and plans.

Trying it

Do I need an account to try it?

No. Start a trial site and the editor opens straight away — no signup, no card, nothing to install.

Is the trial the real thing or a demo?

It is the real editor, on a real site, at a real address. Nothing you learn in the trial turns out to be a rehearsal for a different product.

How long does a trial site last?

The editor shows how long is left at the top of the page. Keep the site before that runs out and everything you built stays exactly as you left it.

Do I need to know design or code?

No. Pages are built from ready-made sections you fill in, and the spacing, colours and type come with the template you picked.

Building your site

Do I start from a template or an empty page?

Either. Ten templates cover the common kinds of business — take the closest one and change everything in it, or start with a blank page and add sections yourself.

How do I change the words and the pictures?

Click the part of the page you want to change. The editor keeps your site on one side and its fields on the other, and the preview follows as you type.

What can a page be made of?

Sections: an opening banner, features, galleries, a price list, testimonials, a timeline, figures, news, events, video, forms, logos and plain text — and questions and answers like these.

Will it look right on a phone?

Yes. Every template and every section reflows for phones and tablets on its own, so there is no second mobile site to keep in step with the first.

Can visitors reach me through the site?

Yes. Forms gather enquiries into an inbox in your dashboard, visitors can subscribe to a newsletter, and news and events each have pages of their own.

Publishing and domains

What address does my site get?

Every site gets a free address of its own the moment it is created, so you can publish it and send people to it before you own a domain.

Can I use a domain I already own?

Yes. The dashboard lists the exact DNS records to add wherever the domain is registered, then keeps checking them for you until the domain answers.

Can I buy a domain here?

Yes. Search for a name in the dashboard and register it without leaving the site; it is connected for you once it is yours.

Is HTTPS included?

Yes, on the free address and on your own domain alike. Certificates are issued and renewed automatically, and there is nothing for you to configure.

Languages and being found

Can my site be in more than one language?

Yes — Arabic, English and French. Every page holds its own text in each language, and visitors switch between them from the menu.

Does Arabic read right to left properly?

Yes. Arabic mirrors the whole layout rather than the text alone — menus, buttons, sections and spacing all turn around with it.

Is the dashboard itself in Arabic?

Yes. The dashboard you build in is Arabic throughout, not only the site that comes out of it.

Will search engines find my site?

Each page carries a title and description you write yourself, and a sitemap is published and kept current as you add pages.

Plans and help

What do the plans differ by?

How many pages your site has. The editor, your own domain, the languages and the analytics are in every one of them.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your site comes offline, but nothing is deleted. Pay again and it returns exactly as it was.

How do I get help?

Send a message from the dashboard and it becomes a support ticket you can follow; every reply lands in the same thread.

What is the difference between Basic and Advanced?

Basic is your site itself — its pages, its menu, the messages that come in. Advanced adds the full content system on top: a catalogue, articles, a media library, your team, and the rest. Switching between them keeps every page and every piece of content exactly as it was.

Still have a question?

The quickest answer is to try it. The trial is a real site with the real editor, and it costs nothing.
